Mexicans come together to celebrate this special day at the shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe. The place is chosen as a symbol of motherhood. Here, an orchestra plays “las mañanitas” of the Virgin. Mexicans have a wonderful custom of celebrating the spirit of motherhood. When the mass gathers at this place, they provide early morning meals to all the mothers present. The menu consists of meals like “Tamales” and “Atole”. They gift them with beautiful and gorgeous bouquets of flowers. The young children show their affection towards their mothers through homemade gifts. Through this, children make their mother realize her importance and how much they love them.
